Why GeekMan?
Who else can save humanity from digital doom? Who will serve as savior for our computer systems and software? We felt geeks deserved a superhero of their very own, and accepted it as our solemn duty to help make this a reality.

How did GeekMan come to life?
In response to the questions we’re received about how GeekMan was born, we’ve put together a short history, in a ‘Making of’ section.
Is GeekMan based on a specific person?
We put the creative ideas and energy of a bunch of people into a blender, and turned it on high. While GeekMan may resemble a colleague, a friend or your Uncle Dave, we designed him to represent EveryGeek – the geek spirit in all of us. So, he’s actually based on you!
What kind of geeks are you?
We're a pragmatic bunch, and aren't religiously attached to a particular platform or technology. Our server cluster is a mix of Linux, BSD and Windows 2000 boxes. For databases we currently use MySQL and MS SQL, front ended with a bunch of coding languages. Various Mac, Windows and Linux desktops were used to develop GeekMan. In the end we try to use the best tool for the job... or the most convenient, or the most fun! :)
Product Questions
PDA: Where does the handheld / PDA stick to the belt?
The PDA attracts by the magic of magnetism to GeekMan's tech gadget belt at three locations: at the front right and left areas of his belt, and on the back of his belt near his back right pocket.
Hands: What, the hands come off?
No, you didn't break GeekMan - both of his hands come off if you pull on them, and you can reattach them easily by pushing them pack onto the round knobs on the end of his arms. In the future we'll release add-on accessory packs that may require new hands to grip accessories of different shapes and sizes.
Note: the removeable hands is a feature for GeekMan v1.0
How can you tell the difference between GeekMan v1.0 and v2.0? Check the bottom of their feet; GeekMan v2.0 has peg holes for action figure stands.
Glasses: How do they fit on GeekMan's head?
The glasses fit like regular eyeglasses - around the ears on GeekMan's head. When they're on, you can hold GeekMan upside down and vigorously shake him all around, and they'll stay firmly in place!
If the glasses don't fit snugly, you may need to 'train' them a little. They're made of flexible plastic, and can be easily bent so they fit properly. Just hold the front of the glasses in your thumbs with the temples facing away from you, and bend the temples of the glasses inwards a few times with your index fingers.
Watch: How do you get it on?
Yes, it's small - in fact, we've been told it may be the smallest removable watch ever made for action figures. Because of its size it can be a little challenging (hey, that's a small pun) to manipulate. To put the watch on, place it around one of the wrists, and thread the thin end of the band through the opening in the other end. (Hint: if you're really having trouble, try putting the watch band together first, then remove one of the hands, push the watch onto the wrist, and pop the hand back on).
Like GeekMan's glasses, the watch is flexible and the band gets trained by bending it. After the watch is on, bend the remaining portion of the watch band that's sticking out away from the wrist. Your watch should now stay on through thick and thin! In fact, you can even take GeekMan and his watch deep sea diving with you - if you do, be sure to send us some pictures :).
Laptop: What's running on GeekMan's computer?
Good question. Actually, a better question is what isn't running on GeekMan's computer? His desktop is a mish-mash of OS's and programs. We don't recommend trying to sort it all out unless you have a powerful microscope or want to go permanently cross-eyed! <grin>
Laptop: My screen came off?
While it's rare, the laptop screen can detach from the base. But, no biggie - this is reversible, and can be easily fixed by popping it back on.
Is GeekMan different from other Happy Worker figures?
With our first action figure we wanted to create an old-school style toy. Like his toy ancestors GeekMan is made of ABS plastic with parts put together in halves like a model kit. Our later toys are made of PVC, a softer, heavier plastic, and the parts are cast as full pieces.
Are there any age recommendations or warnings?
Please take note of these important age recommendations regarding the GeekMan Action Figure:
- GeekMan is designed and intended for use and play by adults and teens aged 14 years and older
- While GeekMan meets the general safety guidelines for ages 8 and up, the product is intended for ages 14 years and up
- The product contains small parts which can cause a choking hazard for children under 3 years

We love feedback even more than new computer smell. (Mmm, newly formed electronic goodness!). Send us your thoughts to info@happyworker.com.
