According to the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association, almost 20% of companies in the U.S. allow pets at work. And many Americans feel having pets around at work is a positive force:
- 40% of working Americans believe having pets in the workplace leads to a more creative environment
- 36% believe having pets in the workplace helps co-workers get along better
- 27% believe having pets in the workplace helps improve the relationship between managers and their employees
- 33% of people who bring their pets to the workplace work longer hours
If you're planning to partake with your pet, please remember to bring some plastic bags to collect any steaming nuggets of wisdom Rover leaves behind in the boardroom. Hmmm... I wonder how people at our office would like meeting Squeezy, my prized boa constrictor...
